1. Who can participate in Sustainovation 2025?
Students and startups working in the sustainability space can participate. Each team must have up to four members, with at least one undergraduate student from a recognized university.
2. Is there a registration fee?
No, participation in Sustainovation 2025 is completely free. Just register and bring your best ideas.
3. What are the key dates I should remember?
- Hackathon Announcement : March 17, 2025
- Applications Open: May 1, 2025
- Application Deadline: Aug 5, 2025
- Hackathon Dates:
- September 3-5, 2025 (30-hour event)
4. How do I register for the hackathon?
Click on the “Register Now” button on the website, fill in your details, and submit your application before August 5, 2025. You are required to form a team of maximum 4 members, with at least one existing undergrad student of any recognized university/college.
5. What are the challenge themes?
Teams will work on three key sustainability challenges:
Soil
Clean water
Energy
6. Do I need prior experience in sustainability or coding?
No. While technical skills can be useful, teams are encouraged to have a mix of innovators, designers, strategists, and developers to create well-rounded solutions.
7. What resources will be provided during the hackathon?
Participants will get access to mentors, industry experts, and relevant datasets to refine their ideas.
8. How will the projects be judged?
Final projects will be evaluated based on:
- Innovation and feasibility
- Impact on sustainability goals (ESG focus)
- Scalability and practical implementation
- Technical and business viability
- Contribution to human fulfilment by creating opportunities for growth and well-being
- Positive impact on vulnerable groups such as the elderly, children, or people with disabilities
9. What are the rewards for winners?
The winning team will receive:
- First prize – INR 1,00,000 cash prize
- Runner-up – INR 50,000 cash prize

11. Will accommodation and meals be provided to participants?
Yes, selected participants will be provided complimentary boarding and lodging on the Amity University campus for the duration of the hackathon. All meals will be included.
12. Are you providing for travel expenses for the Hackathon?
We will reimburse candidates for 2nd AC Train fare for their travel to Hackathon.
