Soil Track
Problem Statement 1:
How can we develop accessible, low-maintenance urban gardening solutions for the elderly or specially-abled people, enabling them to grow their own food in small spaces?
Focus: Empowering elderly or specially-abled people to engage in urban farming, promoting food security, and fostering independence.
Problem Statement 2:
Design a sustainable and affordable soil restoration system that can be easily implemented in community gardens, helping underserved communities (including elderly and children) to improve soil health and grow nutritious food.
Focus: Community empowerment through soil regeneration, with a focus on accessibility for people of all ages and abilities.
Problem Statement 3:
Create an accessible soil health monitoring tool that can be used by children or the elderly to learn about and improve soil conditions in their local environment or gardens.
Focus: Educational tools for different age groups to engage with soil health, enabling learning and hands-on involvement in sustainability efforts.
